Dr. Lucy Rodriguez is a highly talented musician with over ten years of teaching, performing, and conducting experience. Her areas of expertise include violin, viola, piano, cello, double bass, vocals, conducting, and instrumental pedagogy. Dr. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Master of Arts in Instrumental Performance with a concentration in Orchestral Conducting, and a Doctoral Degree in Education in Ethical Leadership. Her research includes philosophies of gender, philosophies pertaining to women in the arts, the social construction of gender theory, and gender equity.
Dr. Rodriguez believes music is a discipline. It takes dedication, determination, and perseverance to excel and succeed in playing a musical instrument. That is why she became a music teacher. She is determined to help students build a strong practice regimen to ensure their progress in learning music theory, fostering the enjoyment of being able to play an instrument. Dr. Rodriguez believes that if her students enjoy their music, they will share this love and passion with others. She continually refines pedagogical practices in order to help guide each student through their musical journey.
Dr. Rodriguez offers virtual, at-home, and in-studio lessons. Her studio is open to all ages! This includes toddlers ages 3-5. Students can pick from the following instruments:
